Adult led activities are carried out to promote the children’s learning and development in all areas of the “Early Years Foundation Stage”( EYFS). We plan our activities and observations around this framework.
Your baby will stay in this room until he/she can walk unaided by which time they will have already been taking short introductory visits into the next stage toddler play space- Young Adventurer’s
Babies will take part in a variety of adult-led activities designed to interest and stimulate the development of early social awareness, enhance vocal and visual ability and promote hand-eye coordination, including the ability to fixate and follow objects. Babies have to opportunity to explore under the watch full eyes of caring staff. They are cuddled and given the mental and social stimulation they need with lots of talking, singing and play.
Within this room, we also have a separate baby changing facility and baby kitchen enabling us to cater for all children without the need to leave the room.
The babies all have their own routines and have access at any time throughout the day to a cot or sleep mats. The sleep area, in a quiet area of the nursery which has been designed to create a calm and secure environment, where they can rest and sleep to recharge their batteries to be ready for more fun and play. We regularly take to children out on walks to the park and places of interest locally. All children have regularly access to a safe secure outdoor play area, where they can have the freedom to play and explore.
Staff are always available to chat to parents on a daily basis about their child. Events of their child’s day is recorded in the child’s daily diary, which is sent home for parents to share in their child’s progress.
